movie review

In the film the filmmaker portrays the life of the kestrel and how humans interact with their environment. What can be seen is that the kestrel notices everything that the humans are doing but the humans don't notice what the kestrels are doing. The life of the kestrel is similar to that of humans in which they find a mate to live with and then to have children with that person and to raise those children. The film was different from other documentaries in that there was no narrator to tell us what the kestrels were doing and some facts about the kestrel. The way that the film was done allows the audience to take their own conclusion from it instead of being told what the film is actually trying to convey.

The film was pretty good but some of the things that I did not care for was the fact that there was no narrator and that it was pretty much compete silence in the movie except for when the birds were cherping and the people talked. I guess that I am more accustomed to having the normal type of documentary in which there is a narrator tellign you about things that are happening in the movie. Another thing that was different was that there was essentually no sound at all during the whole film except for the birds and the band that played in one tiny part of the movie. In all though the film was good and it portrayed the life of the kestrel.
