In The Green Halo, Kohak expresses individuals views on what they think about the environment and many different aspects on the environment. I like that he does this through out his book becuase it is not biased against opinions and he doesnt just focus on one aspect. It is very broad with how people feel we treat and should treat the environment which in many ways gives us a lot of infromation.
The land ethic by Aldo Leopold was very intersting to me. It means to think like a moutain and not to think of the individual on the mountain but thinking of the mountian as whole and a community. This is something that I would not use but it is taking the point of view of the land and not an individual. The cowboy ethic is the complete opposite of the land ethic and it has no respect for the land. It beleives that waste is okay and is not being concerned about the impact of waste and how it could hurt the environment. I also thought the spaceship ethic was intersting this ethic views earth as a spaceship and the we only have a limited amount of supplies. I believe this ethic would make us appreciate supplies more. The live for today ethic is very short term and selfish as long as me and my family are okay than it doesnt matter. All of these ethics consist of many different views but they are all very intersting to look at and think about.
