This chapter discusses the differences between deep ecology and shallow ecology. Deep ecology looks back into time to find the roots of human's attitudes towards nature. I agree with deep ecology because us as human beings tend to over consume greatly. This is why our environment is stuggling so bad at the moment. No one is willing to change and make sacrifices to better our future.
Shallow ecology is trying to use technological solutions and innovations to better our environment. This is also a very good idea to help our environment get better each and everyday, but these newly innovations surely take time (such as energy efficient items, automobile's without gas, ect.)
I agree with both of these types of ecology, but I strongly believe that it is more on us than making newly innovative products that will help our environment. We have to make huge steps to save our environment. Like I said before, everyone is going to have to be willing to make sacrifices to make our environment better.
