The Hoverming Kestral was an interesting perspective on the world from the animals point of view. Shooting from above, the Kestrals appeared almost to watch the people belows as if interested in how we live our lives, just as we are with how they live theirs. The kestrals seemed well acclimated to the modern world, when the car alarm went off they did not seem frightened at all almost as if they were used to the rususs or even during the wedding scene the young kestrals seemed more curious than afraid. I think it goes to show animals do not inherit a fear of human kind and this could be because they were never intended to, but I feel that as humans we feel a responsibility to instill fear in animals, so many of the things in the video actually don't happen. For example, the kestrals living in the loft of that church. I don't know anything about culture and how they treat animals in Europe, but in America that kestral would have likely been hesitant to make a nest in a church, because here (in America) the chirping and bird dirt alone would have been motivation enough to remove the nest and kill the hatchlings. The sharing of the church also seemed a good metaphor for how we should share the world with kestrals and I think the idea that sharing the world like the church is a fear in all of us that animals would harm the planet. Again, the church like the earth is the home for the kestrals and want the best for it just as we do.
