The Kestrel's Eye

The film shown in class, The Kestrel's Eye, was interesting to watch. The film revolved around the life of two kestrel's and how they live there lives. The film showed every part of the Kestrel's life from feeding, to mating, and to the birth of their offspring. It was interesting to watch a movie without any words and just take in everything that you saw, for what it was. This movie was the first movie I have ever watched where there were no words spoken.

It was shown through out the movie that humans did not ever pay attention to the Kestrel's. Even though the Kestrel's paid attention to the movements and actions of the humans. It was interesting to see the birds movements that they made when they heard the music of the marching band play. I thought that the birds were dancing to the music in a sense, which I found amusing.

I overall thought this movie was interesting because it showed you an animals view of life. It made me realize how similar birds are to us. They have their own homes, which are sometimes a part of humans homes or buildings that we use. The Kestrel's provided food, warmth and shelter for their offspring, just as humans provide food, shelter and warmth for their children. If more people took time to take nature in they would realize how birds need the same essentials as they do to survive in this world.
